In this challenge, we encouraged the ArtLicensingShow.com Portfolio artists to image their work for very large format applications! Guided by a series of expert lectures (which you can re-watch here), hundreds of artists gained unique insight and training on how the print industry meets the creative industry to provide extraordinary solutions for our large private and public spaces.

We are excited to present the winners of the ArtLicensingShow.com Wide Format Printing Challenge!

The winners were announced LIVE on our recent community Zoom call where we focused on the ins and outs of dye-sublimation printing. If you haven’t seen that yet or the other fabulous talks that Debbie has generously presented for our community to enlighten artists and makers about the innovations of printing, then you will want to watch the replays here!

Our judge, Debbie Nicholson of Think to Ink shares her thoughts in the post below. First, Second, Third Place winners will get a private consult with Debbie to position their work for the wide-format printing market. Also, ALL top 6 winners will receive a physical sample of their work printed by Debbie’s printing partner Unique Printing Concepts. We are grateful for their support and generosity.

Shari Warren - Silver Shine Poppies

1st Place: Shari Warren Art & Design – Silvershine Poppies

“The profile and close-up view of the poppies introduce you to a flowing dimension of precision placement with short swirls of embellishment with a background color that displays splendor and impressiveness – just wanting to be installed on a large wall for everyone to see and enjoy.”

Uses: Office Buildings, Hospitality, Architecture Lobby, Restaurant Restrooms, Retail Counter Walls

Annie Troe - Sunflower at the Farm2nd Place: Annie Troe – Sunflower

“The quality in this artwork is to perfection; the highlights, shadows, and mid-tones are spot-on. The texture of the Cows forelock makes you want to run your hands through it because it looks so soft. Even while looking at the cow’s eyes you find yourself saying, “‘what is Sunflower thinking”?”

Uses: Hospitality, Specific Restaurants, Retail, Schools, Home Decor, Healthcare, Lodges & more

Angela Kilpatrick - Waves

3rd Place: Angela Kilpatrick – Willowberry Studio – Waves

“The static movement encapsulated with complementary colors is elegant, intriguing, and gives light and forced awareness to any wall.”

Uses: Office Buildings, Hospitality, and Home Decor, Healthcare
